I have bought a 2005 Cinder Cone and as I'm used to doing early 90's rigid bikes I know nothing about suspension or forks.

I know it had 100mm travel forks, but I've been reading bits and bobs and don't know if the steerer needs to be straight with the forks or not and what make/model of fork to buy.

Also whether to go disc or v the frame is suitable for both

Thank you in advance

2005 is still or t least should be straight steerer territory

discs are better

fox and marzocchi or manitou

nothing is cheap at the moment though
