Fork steerer re-threading

I have a couple of pairs of forks that are holding up a couple of projects because the steerers are a) too long, and b) won't have enough/any thread when cut down.

I'm ok with cutting the steerers down to length, but I'm struggling to find anyone who can add thread to them.
Both forks/steerers are 1"1/8th (1 x Marin 750g and 1 x Specialized Future Shock).
My LBS can only re-thread 1" steerers so obviously don't have a 1"1/8th die tool, and I've got nowhere when asking other bike shops (those closest to me are way too new to have even worked with threaded headsets most likely!)

Does any know of anyone that can do this for me? I could send the forks with measurements if needed.

I'm seeking to avoid having to buy the necessary tool just so I can rework these two forks, as they aren't cheap!

Alternatively, does anyone have the tool they would be prepared to lend me in exchange for beer tokens?

Any other potential solutions I'm missing? :idea:

If no luck with bike shops, is it worth looking into local engineering company's?...or what about frame/bike builders?

What size steerer do you have on the Marin? I have a couple @ 153mm if yours are longer and wish to trade? Failing that bud, my local Halfords have lengthened the thread on a couple of pairs of forks for me so i could trim the steerer.

Yup, I can cut the thread down more for you.
Correct tools and diestocks available for 1", 1.125" and 1.25" left over from my framebuilding days.
Also need to mill the headset washer tab groove.

Cost? between £5 and £10 per inch plus any postage (Much harder and time consuming to cut the bigger diameters, since you ask...)

Best to leave any existing threaded sections in place, they help guide the cutter, rather than starting a fresh thread.
Just make a note of the overall length and thread length required.
