Fork advice please

Hi folks,

Looking for a pair of forks for a friend, so I'm hoping you could recommend some, please.

For a 26"wheel, disc specific, 100mm travel with lockout, q/r fitting.

Don't want to spend a lot, they're for a race bike

I'm ok with older SIDs but know nothing of newer. Was also thinking Fox, but have no knowledge of the wheat from the chaff really

Newer sids or Reba's (practically the same fork) are excellent and easy to work on/look after without special tools (unless you want to change the bushings). Fox are good too, but need more looking after and are a it more effort to service.

Your budget will define whether they are within reach though. Good second hand sets are at least £100+, usually more unless you get lucky.
