For the die-hard Muddy Fox lovers-a possible holy grail

Is this really a 1991 bike? I've sent the ad to my brother. This was his first team bike ever. After some good results at the Belgian mtb scene, he was asked to ride for the Belgian MF junior team. He joined half of the 1993 season and this was the bike the junior team was riding back then. Strange it was 1991. I believe my mother still has some pics of him competing the 1993 Worlds at Metabief with an Alu Team.
It was the 1992 model if that helps :)

It’s in the 1991 brochure here in the archives. Unless of course that’s not the 1991 brochure…
I’d say it is 1991.

Actually, thinking about it this had the push push STI and not Rapidfire+, so yeah, it was a 1991 model - apologies!

I'm thinking that most of the models filtered into '92 though?

I think it is a 91. I don't know what changes they made in 92, but it looks like the one in the 91 brochure. I have a 91 Alu Pro, that I bought in September 91 and got the brochure with the bike, which I still have. The Alu Pro had the same frame but is painted white and is built with DX and not XT. I want to restore my Alu Pro soon, but need to find a TIG welder to fix a small hairline crack in the headtube if possible. They were known to crack there.

MF's were rare in the states. The one I got was an imported one-off that my local shop at the time got. I have a medium/small. It is very lite with playful geometry.
