Short fact list:
Up for sale is a good ol' GT Richter 8.0 frame, 18 inches, frame only!
This frame has GTs unique "groove tube" feature.
Tubing should be True Temper GTX as claimed in the GT catalogue.
The frame was repainted, decals are not the original ones.
The paint was in an awful condition when purchased but a local car mechanic (coachbuilder) did owe me a favour. The frame got chemically stripped and repainted in the late 1980ies carmine-red used by VW. Very close to the original.
Decals are repros and not 100% precise in the measures, see detailed pcis.
Decals are under the clear coat!
Scratch protection strip under lower third of lower tube.
No faded paint, the bike was always in the garage at the office or our house.
Regarding the groove tube: The front insert is missing and was at purchase. You will only be able to route one cable through the groove tube! Again, see detailed pictures.
Frame has been treated with Fluid Film for corrosion protection.
Takes 26.8mm seatpost, 73mm bottom bracket and 1 1/8" headset
Used for approx 500km after repaint as commuter.
Pristine paint condition.
