For Sale: 1957 Carlton Flyer - Ladies

wait wait, I am not arguing at all.

I only said £500 seemed steep to me AFTER you lowered it.
If I was arguing I'd have it done before...sorry if my comments do seem like an argument, I assure you it is not my intention.

You're free to sell it for whatever price you feel fair, I am in no condition to argue about it as I am no expert at all.
Just felt £500 was steep and didn't say anything, but when you lowered it I thought I was indeed right, that's all.

With a bike like this, where is your point of reference for a sale price?
It's nearly 60 years old and all original apart from tires, chrome is in great condition and paint isn't too bad either. The lugs were only produced for 2 years making it fairly rare. I've spent a lot of time and effort cleaning it up and although I don't really want to sell it, the impending separation from my mrs and the inevitable downsizing makes it hard to hang on to.
If you want to argue about prices please do it elsewhere.

Correct! and fair. If somebody thinks the bike is worth it, they'll buy it. If they don't, they won't! It's simple really. NOTHING in this world has a 'correct value' – If somebody on eBay has paid 'over the odds' for something, then that something was worth it to them and the item was pitched at the right price point.

Re: Hello I am a new lad on forum

Hello Friends,
I just wanted to say greetings as I am new here and love vintage cycling. The steel bikes were all we rode in our youth, so I am a bit vintage myself. My reason for joining is I am wanting to increase my vintage cycling knowledge on the forum. Nice to meet you and thanks if you would accept my membership to your site Retrobike.
Cheers,
John & Xc (Xc is my noncycling wife who knows quite a bit by hearing me talk about the parts by various manufacturers. She doesn't know how to ride a bike, so I hope to have her on a tandem soon)

Re:

Hello. Lovely bike. Could you please advise size of the bike to see if it would fit my wife..... seat tube centre to top? Thank you very much.
