Love ot, but even @Ingola would struggle with that sear height. Get out on it man, it needs to be ridden to find the quirks of a folder. In my defence Im weak and easily led and you lot didn't help one bit![]()
My new to me Dahon D7 Speed.
The chain is filthy and the whole bike could do with a good scrub but its in relatively good condition with no rust
Bought it on Gumtree at lunchtime today as it was only 4 miles from my work for £80View attachment 940487

That's the new "bikefit" standardLove ot, but even @Ingola would struggle with that sear height. Get out on it man, it needs to be ridden to find the quirks of a folder.
Hope the wee test ride goes OK.Yeah but Im only a 5'8" shortarse myself
Lol seriously I took it out of my boot at work and unfolded it just for the pic so it still has all the PO's lights and other tat on it on it.
It's still in my boot and will absolutely be ridden at lunchtime tomorrow, hopefully I can manage more than a half mile before my arse collapses due to traffic again
Im actually far more excited to ride this than I was my Kona which was my dream bike as a young man
Surely if you have the tool in your hand, you tighten it up - you don't stop to make a cup of tea half way through?Hope the wee test ride goes OK.
My ride back from the garage made the left crank fall off. Bugger. Tightened to grrr tight, see what it does later, suspect I didn't actually tighten it up when I fitted it.![]()
Tightened up and rode with no issues. I was rushing to get back to kids, I'll have nipped it up but not torqued it. Now torqued up to 40nm. It wasn't a case of working on the bike it was a case of chuck the bb in quick and get back to what I should be doing. So yes with tool in hand I've not done it up.Surely if you have the tool in your hand, you tighten it up - you don't stop to make a cup of tea half way through?
I Suspect pre-stretched tapers, destination: recycling bucket
Torquewrench strikes againTightened up and rode with no issues. I was rushing to get back to kids, I'll have nipped it up but not torqued it.
