Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

I own a Brompton three speed, love folding bikes, as well as retrro mountain bikes.

The Brompton looks excellent, I like the blue. We have seen quite a few folding designs on this thread and the Brompton looks like one of the best thought out. How do you use it? Commuting, longer distances or around town?

I’ve started some mods on a Raleigh Twenty-alike.

This is a 38mm od headtube which gets cups silver soldered to the ends to turn it into an integrated headtube.

Here it is with the cups soldered in place.

My actual Raleigh Twenty doesn’t seem to require an additional ‘top tube’ as some people do but being an unknown quantity and probably not as well made as a Raleigh I’ve decided to as a second bracing tube to this frame. I’ve done it under the main tube instead of higher up though to retain the step through nature of the frame.

I’ve also added water bottle bosses to the main tube and a coaster brake tab to the chainstay.

Not sure why they painted it blue then green then red but it matches the decal at least!
