I found an awsome thread on here from a guy that restored his 90/91 Pine Mountain, and it got me thinking about doing the same to mine.
Mine is the 1990, and it's still serving me well, but over the years the handlebar grips have split and been replaced by tape. So I'm wondering if anyone here knows where I can get a new set of something either identical or at least, near as dammit?
After that, I'm going to be searching for a full replacement groupset, as my shifters were changed over the years, and what else remains is pretty worn out, as you can imagine.
Ideally, it would be good to upgrade to the Deore XT, but I'd be just as happy to source the original spec Deore DX.
