Fluorescent Yellow painters - who do we use?

Looking to repaint a stem and a fork
Who do we use for fluro jobs nowadays?
Al at FatCreations won’t touch them.
And the yellow that Griff’s offer isn’t quite what I’m looking for.
Any suggestions?

Looks like Argos did it. Heard both good and bad things about them (Argos). best to ask @Attempted Mustache regarding his experience.

I think (but have no idea where I heard this) that fluro yellow is harder than fluro pink

Biggest issue you'll have is colour fastness. I remember seeing a brand new Cannondale turn up in my works bike park and it had a retro fluro paint finish that looked super cool. It came with this sticker on the downtube!!!

You'll have to look elsewhere then. Obviously store your bikes in a dark Bat Cave when not in use and you should be OK. Not doubt over the years paint has become a lot more environmentally friendly that has clearly reduced the longevity of it. I have a tri colour fluro fade that I need to do on a frame & forks. Was intending to do it myself, but it won't be anytime soon! Good luck finding some answers and getting some reassurance and good advice!

For stem and forks it may be easier to DIY? Am sure Plasticote do the flo paints.

Modern paint really doesn't help. Yep its more environmental friendly as all the chemicals have gone....but if your repainting things 3 times, that's hardly friendly is it!

I would go diy. I did some halfords fluro then 2k over them. They were pretty good, but it needed many many costs to get a good deep pink.

Fluor paint is a pain. To keep in good shape from 1993 it was easy: No one has near used it until now that I´m finishing the assembly and the Frame is covered all the time from light. Cool but a pain.



My ex Meta was fluor and didn´t fade it BUT it was Mate and very dirty paint. For me the problem were the grips. That grips fade in one year of use.

One time I whanted to paint a bicycle in yellow fluor and the choosed paint was the Seat Ibiza Green ... It didn´t face fast. Imagine a car in the sun for a year and it goes white ... that paint was ok. Perhaps it is enought fluor for you.
