F'Light Ron Cooper

I have a c.1990 Ron Cooper currently being resprayed. He went full Italian on it as it's made from Columbus SL with a Cinelli spoiler BB shell. Full Shimano 600 tricolour groupset (almost mint - no idea how it's survived like that, since the frame was scabby and had a bent rear hanger) and a Dura-Ace headset which isn't in the least bit notchy. Expect to get it back in a month or so.

I was thinking of building mine with a DA 7400 but I need something more practical. It will be good to see yours when its done.

It was a particularly disgusting pink and yellow fade but will be flam orange. There aren't enough orange bikes in the world.

Well been looking for this thread and time for a resurrection. At the moment it sits in the lock up as a frame only all the parts I swapped over to my Dave Marsh. I can't believe this was 7yrs ago how time flies, I have since moved twice had 2 jobs and now have 2 dogs seems a lots happened in them 7yrs.
I've definitely got my fettling mojo back although the garage I now have is much smaller and clogged up with bits for sale so need to make some room to swing a crankset. With a new job to start on Monday and being so close its not worth driving the car wouldn't get warm and its not good for it DPFs etc so I'm getting back on the bike hopefully this will start to rekindle my cycling mojo aswell. New boss is a keen cyclist which helps too.
But F'light I think its going to get repainted sometime around Xmas in the same colour scheme as my old Harry Perry as I really liked that so I think a trip to Bob Jacksons is in order. Now I have a dilemma with the build I either strip my NOS 6400 off my Ribble 635 or I use a Dura ace 7403 which I'll need to build a set of wheels for my Colnago Master so I can use its wheels on the F'light (it has lovely Ambrosio Excellent rims in blue) and I have another pair of Ambrosio rims in blue with the colnago decals on them plus a spare set of 7400 hubs for the Colnago.

Well even typing this is getting me excited I didn't realise I missed it so much.
