Flat pedals for road bike. Which one to choose?

Have a look at the MKS range, lots of different variants. They have very good quality bearings and last well.

I'm looking at the MKS pedals. I notice that some of them have some "lips" of metal on the outer cage.
Do you know what is their function?

Does it mean they can only be used on one side?

(boy, I'm ignorant when it comes to pedals!)

The lip is to flick the pedal the right way up with toe clips.

I'd also recommend some wellgos.

I currently run the mg-1s on a mtb, changed from dmr years ago and never looked back. Cheaper, lighter, better grip in any weather.

I was so impressed I found a smaller version which I run on my road bike. Model is r146 I think... In fact just noticed planet x are selling them at 14.99!

They are a tad small for my feet, but again grip is fantastic, and being magnesium they are super light too

By all things decent, put some toe clips or cleated pedals on it..unless you ride a road bike in trainers and a T shirt!

Trainers and t-shirt... Yup

Not one for lycra, I ride because I enjoy it and take it the countryside whilst I'm out... Unlike a lot of more serious roadies who can't even move their head up to say hello

Re:

I tend not to like those wellgo because they are very wide.
But I saw the m111 model, which is narrow!
They look nice, and surely more grippy than the MKS or SP pedals I've seen!

Yeah the mg-1 is a bigger pedal, the r146 is much smaller. I'll try and find dimensions..

Here you go... Size: 85x86x32mm

Failing that have a look at sjs cycles, they've a ton of mks pedals in various shapes and sizes
