Hi all... My 12yo son has recently outgrown his Apollo 24" and so as a stopgap to see if he was ready for 26" he has been using my wife's 2000 Kona Hahanna. I took him and his mate to a local trail two weeks ago it I decided when we went back I would dust off my 2000 Planet X and join them. Fast forward to this weekend and I finally got to relive my younger years, riding some jumps and berms. As expected I came off a couple of times, but I forgot how much DX pedals hurt when you slip off them... Shinpads needed for next time I think!
We had such a blast riding two bikes that have almost 50 years between them! I'm now building him a hardtail / jump bike based on a mid-2000s Cannondale Chase frame. Retro is the only way to go!
Apologies for the drive-side photo!
