Hi all, just signed up to the forum based on a friend's recommendation. So... Hello all.
My reason for joining is that I have a Marzocchi Marathon S, 03 model year which I've taken apart, drained the oil, refilled to the correct levels. When I then put it back together and gave the fork a 'squish' to try them, the fork just locked down compressed. The fork does very slowly over a few minutes return to almost full extension (but not quite full) and then does the same if compressed again. I took the fork back apart and the left side damper (ETA?) seems to be the problem. The damper rod is constantly wanting to retract into its body, like there's gas trapped above the piston or something. Any ideas what the issue is and if it can be fixed? Thanks in advance.
