First pair of spd shoes - what to buy?!

Best for durability I have found shimano shoes to be tops,I have quite road feet, and never had an issue with width, been running some of these shoes for over 10 years.. :) I would highly recommend them.... :)

How about Specialized Taho - My husband has a pair - not to mountain bikey for the road and the newer ones have velcro straps. I have the women's version and have used them on mountain and road bikes.
Not my favourite pair of shoes as they are heavier than some of my others but a good all rounder.

Lots of shops/on line dealers do a pedal/ shoe deal. Best deal I got was £5.00 for Shimano road shoes combined with £10 for pedals/ cleats from Bike Plus!

So worth shopping around
