I was riding a junk department store "atb", "ntb" would have been more accurate, as it was suited for no terrain whatsoever. I bent the rims doing a curb drop riding out of the store where I bought it. My buddy Craig was tired of looking at it, said, "You need to learn the magic of chromoly. My friend Phil is looking to sell something. You should try it out."
Met with Phil at the neighborhood church, he brought my new bestie for life, a 93/94 Hardrock FS which had been upgraded with some take off parts from a Stumpy, including the divine Spesh version of Mag 21. I hopped on and immediately rolled it down the stairs set. My eyes were opened to a new world, I couldn't hand Phil the $200 fast enough. The Rockrat is still my absolute favorite of all times, will never ever ever leave my collection. Maybe somehow I could have my ashes stored inside the tubeset
Thinking about a bmx stem and moto bars lately, he's fit me fine as a teen, but the old man me prefers a larger size
