Always being a lover of 1990s and finaly be in the stage in life that i can track down "the one's that got away"
Beside my belowed Klein thats outside only when the sun shines..But i'll share some picks off it later.
Got my hands on a extremly littel used 1996 Stumpjumper FS almost as I can call it mint. Everything is original exept theseat .. The question is.. keep it orginal and use it on sunny days like OR Upgrading with the top of the line aftermarket parts from the '90s.. put on a pair of Rolf Proppeler rims and it just looked like a match made in heaven.

Whats to do.

Pictur from wgen i picked it up
Happy Camper welcome to the lunacy of vintage mtbs! I'm just kidding about the lunacy phrase, I should have used the term "Addiction". I also have a 95 and this is the bike that stuck the needle in my arm as now I'm hooked. I have pretty much narrowed my makes on Bontrager and GT although you can't deny the lineage of this bike if you were a newbie in the early to mid 90's. Here's mine...besides bars and stem (which I have the original pieces) I believe it to be all original including the radial laced front wheel with specialized hub. Just curious...does yours have gripshift shifters or trigger shift? Mine has XT trigger shifters. Anyway here's mine

These are two different year's bikes of course, as revealed by the cranksets and logos, one bike from 1996 and the other from 1995, but both would have had Gripshift shifters originally.

What year year bike would have had 737 XT cranks and I thought grunge grape was a 1 year only model.....also did either year bike come with a Mavic 220 wheelset. Also mine has XT trigger shifters......

Well mine is definitely a 95 as serial number designated as so. Mine does have the XT cranks but has XT shifters and brakes along with Mavic 220 wheels which includes a radial laced front wheel with specialized hub. Would you consider the wheels and upgrade? As far as shifters that could be a personal preference.

Would you consider that(those) an upgrade?
More of a change than an upgrade. The Z-21 rims on XT were a light combo (even came with alloy nipples) but not too strong, it’s possible the rims on yours became pringles and were just changed. An “upgrade” would have been something like Mavic 217 when they came out.
