Film and TV stars and their bikes!

Romy Schneider and Michel Piccoli share a bike, and share top billing, in The Things of Life (Les Choses de la Vie), a romantic drama from Claude Sautet, about a car accident and a vital epistle. The film was nominated foe the Palme d’Or at the 1970 Cannes Film Festival.

Kathleen Burke, Mari Colman, Grace Bradley and Lona Andre park their Paramount Studios vehicles at Sardi’s, 6313 Hollywood Boulevard, right around the corner from Vine. The year is 1933, and counter and fountain service is de rigueur.
 
Man, bikes, and film have such a cool connection. For me, it’s a bit wild how even little details like a character’s bike can stick in your mind.
When I was studying at Prague Film School, we actually talked about stuff like this—how the smallest props can tell a story. It’s such a hands-on place, and you get to learn from people who really know their stuff.
