Ta. :D

It was cheap but cleaned up well. We have to keep some standards in BOTM don't you know!

I know what you mean. It took me ages to polish up that seatpost nicely! Not that you can see from that photo though

You can see a bit better from this one, how I toiled over the finish

Re:

Standards seem a little too high for the thread title so here's my Shogun Trail Breaker that I rescued from the scrapyard.

It's no looker and weighs a ton but I've done more miles on this than any bike I own this year, it's just so comfy (not with that saddle though!). Somehow it also won "bike of the ride" at the Forest of Dean last year despite easily being the crappiest bike there.

(Is crappiest a real word? Is it spelt right? Who cares, it's not like it's BotM :p )

"And the way the valves are not lined up with the labels."
Who does this ?
Errrrr
Me.
Makes it easier to find to pump them up.
I just look for the valves. Clearly I'm under-thinking the issue.

There's more to this, I see it now - my eyes have been opened - I've seen the light.

Well I say I've seen the light, it was a bit of a shonky reflection, but think of it as an epiphany - another chink in the armour whereby those with OCD can be further destabilised.

One more step towards global domination!

Re:

I cant stand it when people say "oooh, look at me ive clearly got ocd coz i have to line my valves up" etc

Bullshit! Thats just attention to bloody detail!
Live with someone with true ocd and youll soon realise. Experience the night terrors, the panic attacks, the crazed ramblings and fear of death associated with NOT having done something innocuous and seemingly simple and ordinary to us non sufferers...

Rant over... As you were

^^^^^^^^^ May I suggest a strongly worded letter to the Mail and a nice cup of tea?
Indeed - or in the immortal words of Sgt (Big Toe) Hulka: "Lighten up, Francis..."

I mean why put yourself through something you've already outed in the "What winds you up?" thread:-

NBOTM....

Fagin.. never fear that i am ever in need of a nice cup of tea. My pot rarely runs cold; however the Daily Mail can FROff

Neil... good to hear from you as ever
I can read what i like, and say what i like. It seems that you take everything at face value, so will no doubt have been confused by the inherent sarcasm in that particular post... ok, was my fault for not conveying it sufficiently

Anyway, i made a perfectly valid point about something that belittles what to some is a serious issue. If you want to poke and irritate as per usual. Be my guest

I merely said two things: lighten up - if everybody was to take offence at every single comment on here, they could find resonance and take offence at - well, we'd be where we are now... rather ironically, you taking my comments with face value. I hate it when that happens, don't you?

And seventeenthly, just as you're seizing the "I was being sarcastic..." line for the NBOTM threads winding you up / not winding you up... I was hardly being deadly serious about either attacking those with OCD, or world domination. Well actually, that last one, maybe there is a grain of truth.

Anyways - think we've now established, OCD is verbotten, as are... the Nazis, kittens, religion, politics, Faberge eggs, the Romans and their contribution to England, Scotland, F1, Lewis Hamilton, MC Hammer's trousers (for some reason, it must be Pavlovian, I just had to say Hammer, after mentioning Hamilton - STOP!), the People's front of Judea, immigration - have I missed any off the list?
