Favourites and least favourites bikes

Just wondered what all retrobiker's favourites and least favourites bikes and it would be interesting to know. I am aware this could be a touchy subject so maybe just put the bike's names with no comments :?

Loving Orange and Kona.. they are great bikes the you can actually get hold of and make them your own.

I just don't get Kleins.. all that paint? :shock:

Of the bikes I've ridden...

Hate: my 1st Raleigh Mustang

Love: Orange (Clockwork, Gringo & 5), Litespeed Obed(non retro)

Bikes I've not ridden...

Hate: Trimble, Kona (non retro ones), Klein

Love: Pace, anything Titanium

Hate's a very strong word, but:
Klein are me least fave because of silly expensive paintwork.

Love..... Good steel,Particulaly Ritchey, Bonty, Breeze, Potts, Chance. Well you get the idea.


Hate..... Cheap alloy tat and Gary Fisher mediocraty. Oh and multi pivot sus bikes, Still dont see the point of over complicating things!

I likey anything retro really, not too choosy but steel suits me at the mo, at least until I can afford to dress up the MRC titanium

Hate anything ridden by commuting office workers who don't understand road laws and get in the way of others so that would be:

Ridgeback Psyclone
Specialized Sirrus
Anything small wheeled and foldup, except Moultons, always thought they looked cool in a Meccano sort of way

i think i'm very much into:
top of the line marins up to ~1995
top of the line kleins from 1990-1996
top of the line yetis from early 90ees (hate those troy lee "styled" ones)
top of the line cannondales from early 90eeS
pace - they just look stunning, one of the best logotypes ever
marone kampfmaschine - wicked austrian ECS design
canadian stuff like rocky mountain, dekerf, syncros and especially brodie!

i don't really hate any other brand but i just don't share the passion form them. here they are:

orange

there is one brand that i do totally dislike ... TREK
