favorite bike

you shouldn't complicate matters by having more than one bike... although recently I seem to have acquired another 2.

Me too - well all of that, 'cept I have ridden it recently.

I love my recently acquired 91 Apex, too (a replacement for my first proper MTB, that lost it's fight against crime, which is why I bought the 95 one) but there's something about the 95 Apex - good frame, every bit as composed as the 91, but got into fighting shape by losing a few pounds in the intervening years, yet still manages to feel stable and robust. Wheels were a bit on the light side, mind, but not really a problem if you've got some mechanical sympathy.
