Fat Tire Flyer is back, and it's expensive

In 2014 VeloPress published my book, Fat Tire Flyer: Repack and the Birth of Mountain Biking. The company was sold three years ago, and my title was dropped along with many others. I took back the rights, and purchased the computerized layout, since the publisher had no further use for it.

At my own (considerable) expense, I have re-published my book in the original, 1.75 kg deluxe edition. I raised the price a bit to compensate for the way things have changed over the last decade.

Postage to UK is more expensive than the book. In round figures, the book is $40USD and the postage is $60. If anyone is willing to pay the extortion, I will send a signed copy. for $100 USD. PM for my Paypal account.

I would entertain the idea of a UK distributor, but keep in mind that the shipping is expensive.

Hi Charlie,
I would love to put money in your pocket for this, but that shipping is bonkers, and I'd probably have to double it to get it into Canada. Any chance there'll be distribution north of the border?

I'd happily buy a copy too. I wonder if a group purchase would save on shipping?
How much to ship 10 copies? Surely not $600.

They come in boxes of eight. I looked up the shipping by United Parcel Service, cheaper than US mail. It was $131 for the shipping, add $320 for eight copies, total is about $450 USD for eight delivered to UK.

Love my first edition ( ultimate coffee table book ) and back copies of FTF mags. The early era artwork 😎😎😎
