Fat Chance Ti 😳

Gorgeous 95 Ti there 😎. I am fortunate to have two 94 FAT Tis mine is a large and my kid’s a smaller womens size. Both made by the maestro himself IROBOT in Somerville before they closed shop in Oct 94. Stiffer more race oriented ride than the NY FAT made 97 Ti.I can honestly say the 97 Ti is the most comfortable all rounder I have EVER ridden but still stiff where it needs be, flawless welds and custom FAT spec Ancotech Dbl butted tubing.I cant keep both anymore and in the end I chose the 94 imo the PIETA for its flawless aesthetic perfection. Its still fkin amazing to ride 👍

I understand some people’s feathers getting ruffled about the all in price. Thats why I and many others ( we have discussed this offline many times ) dont list high value items on RB any more. Its not worth the grief over pricing comments every time. Ironically i paid TOP WHACK for many of the components on here, there were no issues selling it to me of course back then. 😉 Oc it upsets some people, times are very tough in this fkd up country.

So the question is have prices plummeted for these uber rare parts ?. IMO no chance. I watch the market on a daily basis still. They are increasing in rarity as most are worn out or rough by now. These bikes are very rarely ridden as I play more golf now with my daughter and my wife doesnt like riding anymore. Sad but true 😞

This 97 Ti build is as good as it gets, its synergistic riding perfection and should stay together.I accept thats now unlikely but I am patient, just trying to get back a decent portion of my investment over the many years, thats all. 🤗

I don't think anyone's feathers are particularly ruffled, but more members trying to inject a sense of reality to your pricing and expectations. There is a distinct difference between advertising "high value items" and "overpriced items". I'll let you figure out which one people are commenting on. Nobody doubts the quality of the build.

Anyone spending even £3k plus on a retro bike isn't feeling any tough times as its simply a different market you enter into. One that likely wants the dream build they imagined, not one that someone else has dreamt up - plus the premium of paying for it.

The top top level parts aren't getting worn out now as they simply adorn wall hangers which are seldom ridden. I know alot of collectors , retrobike enthusiasts or just plain old hoarders. I can't think of 1 person that would spend £11.3k on it.

Still would be interested to know the breakdown of individual prices that allowed the valuation?

P.S If this is one of those forced sales where you've told the mrs you'll stick it up for sale but don't actually want to sell it. Blink twice so we all know and can edit our comments to how good value it is, and why hasn't it sold.

Priced to keep. :)

If you want to move it on then sell everything separately as that's the only way you'll get near what it's "worth."

No such thing as bad publicity. Any genuine buyers are always welcome to hit
me up to work out a deal. I have no problem parting it out for what the market dictates later on either. Nowt wrong with some good ol fashioned price roasting either 😆👍

Lets not forget there are more of these across the pond and oc cheaper too but when you ship full bikes to UK there is a big import fee on top.

Single pic is fair enough I reckon. No potential buyer is turning away for lack of photos. @M-Power would obviously assist anyone serious
Exactly. All 10 pics would do is trigger people who have no intention of buying even more looking for a tiny piece of fly sh1t on a derailleur or hustling for parts in a split. Its entertainment. Any serious buyer will get any high res pics by eml as usually happens 🙂👍 Any dialogue with genuine buyers is always welcome.
