Fat Chance Kickstarter

Thanks for posting the interview.

I don't see why they don't make a replica of the 1990 frame. So much more aesthetically pleasing, works fine, and ticks all the nostalgia boxes.

Colnago still produce the Master with the same tubing, and geometry, as they always did. Seems to still be a viable seller. And skateboard companies like Alva, G&S, Santa Cruz, Powell sell thousands of their 70s/80s reissues.

Re:

Also interesting:

"In my years there Chris was not really making the bikes per say, as in cutting tubes, welding or doing finish work and that is OK with me. He was the head of the company and paid his dues with hard work making a lot of bikes before I was there. Chris did not how to TIG weld and never did. Again that was fine with me. Chris was fantastic at brazing and using a file [among other things]. Why learn TIG at that time, because you could hire a professional welder like Scott Bengsten who had a bachelors degree in welding to be your head welder."

Have you guys seen the new headtube badge design yet? I saw an item on it the other day, damned if I can remember where though.

I've seen it, a nice twist on the old classic. Made of silver by a jeweller.

One thing that niggled me this afternoon is, the new frames have no similar variables or features of a old Fat frame despite the stickers, name and frame material :? .

For Example...?

I don't know really Carl... Looking at the photos of an old Yo and comparing it to the new one I can't really see much resemblance despite there being no major changes, somehow... It must just be me :? .

I'm looking forward to a Ride report to see what they are like and what's the final opinion.
