I hope he is overlooking the work. I don't see any reason he should be doing everything. Quality control is the only matter.

Judging by the statement released so far, he will be doing little else.

I had hoped given the cost, at least the first small batch would be a little more exclusive, we are talking telephone numbers, (forgetting my teeshirt and fanny accessory jokes for a minute.) Its the frames that are relevant.

I get that, but at the end of the day the market will decide.

The market has. The Market/Consumer would like to know.

Re:

Chris made many of the early frames, fillet brazed ones. Gary Helfrich and latterly Scott Bengston, along with their 'torchperson' support cast, made most of the rest, until the move to Glen Falls. Chris has a lot of other things to do to successfully resurrect the Fat brand. I'm looking forward to what come out at the handmade show but it IS going to be hard to differentiate great new product in a crowded market. He did it before, hope he can do it again.

I have dipped my toe in the water for a T and some decals

I would have liked to have gone up one level, but can't at the moment due to other commitments and projects etc ...

WD :D

anyway, 1500 dollars for frame and fork is reasonable. It's the 250 Dollars package which is ridiculous. But then ,it's fundraising. Witing for the outcome (as a voyeur), as anybody else, methinks
