Fat bloke tyres

I can't be the only one who is a big unit so when the tyres say 65psi and I fill them as such... the rear always looks quite flat

So I pressume the only way through this other than lose some weight you fat..... is to find a tyre with a higher psi rating?..it seems a simple question but I am simple

Any reccomendations..and before you start..most of me isn't fat I am genuinely a larger size..too much porridge as a wee un

Ha I feel your pain! I'm 6ft 4 and 16 and a bit stone! Just big boned! I have my tyres running at around 55psi and to be honest they still look a bit flat, but for at any higher pressure they feel too unforgiving! Not helping with a search for a higher psi tyre but maybe appreciate the tyre for its pneumatic qualities! As long as your not slipping the tyre on hard corners!

depends more on the construction of the tyre than the max psi

thicker sidewalls would be my suggestion, downhill tyres like chunder pro have a thicker ply rating than xc tyres

No issues with punctures on the tractor, but I might just get some of these just so I can have something call a Chunder Pro on my bike! Not that they'll fit if the are over 2.0 in size.

I'm 6'1 and 14.5st in normal clothing.

I found Schwalbe Landcruiser tyres very good, the thick Kevlar protection in the tread and sidewall robs a bit of comfort but makes the tyre astonishingly rigid, at 55psi I can't tell the difference in tyre profile between sitting on the bike and standing by it ! It's rideable down to about 28psi before contact-point compression becomes a problem

I think at 40+ PSI they'd be good even for a 16-stone chap.
