I picked this up off gumtree for under £50, initially I thought it a bargain but there's some stuff that's concerning me. I'll detail that in a bit but for now I'll just post some pics.

Issues

Play in bottom bracket

Front axle seems too short for forks,there's maybe 5mm in the forks. Same with rear.

REAR wheel has a crack near the spokes so will need replaced

Need a hanger for rear mech

Rear cassette seems a mess,it was barely attached and looks like it's too big for what the bike was intended for.

Plus points

Got a second set of cranks and a BB chucked in with the bike

Free rear cateye light

Frame seems it decent nick,no obvious rust

Going to strip her mostly to see what the issue is with the BB.

This is going to be a cheap commuter so would appreciate any tips on the cheapest components to get.
