Hi all

I have just bought this bike and thought I would bring it her to see if I could find out more about it. It is 531 competition tubing. But the only marking on it is a frame number of R674. The paint is purple and white with a pear finnish. Any help will be greatfully received. I am looking at stripping it and repainting.

It looks old, like early 90's.
Reminds me of an old Carrier a frame? will see if I can find a pic.

Might be worth asking this question in the pre-1997 part of the forum too.

Its a road bicycle not an mtb bicycle but could be a carerra all the same

I will look further. It the frame number that i find funny. just a few numbers. Im now thinking it could be from a small bike builder.

This one is really pissing me off.
Mate of mine had one. I came within about 2 days of buying one. Got a Dave Marsh 653 instead.

About 1988 I think.

I would guess about that as it came with exage sport groupset which was abbout that time.
