I've just given it a good wash and spent 10 mins on the forks today and it's come up well already. When I've got time I'll give it a deep clean and service.Very nice Some very nice details on the frame, looks like it will clean up ok.
Just been and had a good look at that as I hadn't noticed it, it does appear to be deliberate and is a drilled hole rather a rotted tube. Must be for drainage but it's rather large in size. There is a hole in the BB shell below the BB guide, or?
If that thick metal has rusted out then a thorough inspection of the tubing connected to the shell needs looking at pronto. Alot of water for a long time would be needed to rot a shell out.
I hadn't, research says it's German tubing used by a few of the Italian manufacturers. Got a reasonably decent reputation by all accounts. The groupset is from 2000 so it must have been upgraded at some point. There's a sticker on the frame referencing the Atlanta Olympics in 1996I saw this on FB myself - very nice for little money. The brakes and gears don't look original to me - it's got to be late 80s/early 90s with those decals, I would have thought. Interesting tubing - I've never heard of Oria before.
