WOW! Great paint job!
I really love this color!

(and the frame is lovable)

I have something for you from my collection, I hope you can appreciate:

is that a 32-tooth freewheel? does the rear derailleur work ok with that gearset?

those in photos are not the original wheels.
I plugged them just because I wanted to see the aesthetic effect with the black rims.

the original wheels (super record hubs + Mavic rims) Mount fast road gears and worked perfectly.

I've not tried these Campagnolo wheels... as soon as I have time I do a test and let you know!
;)

after a hectic week at home catching up, i've finally begun assembling the bike.

If you had the fork painted to match that would look fantastic IMHO, still a very nice bike.

It is a great build though :)
I'm almost done with my San Cristobal too (I think mine is from circa 83 and it's in Aelle rather than SL)

i put it together and went for a quick ride. i'm not liking the bar tape, and will be switching it to black. the weight came out to 16.2 pounds, or 7.35 kg, as pictured (not including spare tubular under the saddle). smooth, lively feeling ride. very nice!!!

Bar tape does seem at odds with the rest of it, impressive weight you must be very pleased. Very nice bike.
