F. Moser Neo-Retro Weight Weenie

Devout Dirtbag
Hello All,
I'm another sick maniac who can't stop building project bikes. this is the first i've posted here, so please be gentle! the frame is currently being repainted in a classical italian blue with white panels. i've been collecting parts since april, and will be building it with a full 2006 campy record group, and some other pretty light italian parts from around 2006. almost entirely NOS, and with some bolt tuning. this'll be my new winter bike starting this year. i'm hoping it'll come in under 16 pounds with 25mm tubulars.

if thats your winter bike ! what are your others like ?nice ones

thanks. i have a few 90s mountain bikes (kleins and breezers) and some modern weight weenie mountain and road stuff, but this will be my first foray into anything retro/road. i've wanted an f. moser for ages, and this one kind of fell into my lap this spring.

i've also really loved the 10-speed record groups, and i thought it would be cool to use one of the last record 10-speed groups, with plenty of lightweight carbon to contrast the 80s frame. this also gave me an excuse to get all "matchy" and collect every last piece of 10-speed record i ever wanted, including the gorgeous silver hubs, threadless headset, full-ti cassette, and carbon seatpost! my dresser currently looks very much like page 34 of the 2006 campy catalog. i'll get pics of the parts and a parts list posted soon.

yeah, i reckon it would be fun to do a build with full ti groupo one day.what are the tubes sl?

look forward to it! enterested to view the stem, fork. brakes and shifter combination.seat post.see now..beefy hubs and contrast of metals.great

Which tubing is it? Columbus SL or Aelle? I suppose SL.

OOPS: just read the list of components where you specify it's SL.

I'm also building a F.Moser San Cristobal (Columbus Aelle frame and I think Aelle forks) but with full Gipiemme Sprint gruppo F.Moser pantographed.

So far I got it cheap (£100 for frame in perfect conditions [been re-painted with proper decals] + £110 for the gruppo).
Need to build the wheels, but that won't cost much.

Never rode a F.Moser before, so I hope it'll be nice and smooth.

I took some photos of the parts as they are now. There's still a little more tuning to do, but this is pretty much it.
