Hi,

I'm looking for an extra small frame for my kids first 26 inch wheeled bike. Ideally I want a disc brake frame with a head tube for a straight 1 1/8th steerer fork.

I'm guessing something like a 14" Inbred or the really small Spec Hardrock or Mykas might do the job. I've not got the budget for anything fancy, but would like something in reasonable condition.

Cheers,

Mike

you can get smaller than 14"

I have a gt ruckus but its single speed no mech hanger has horizontal drop outs

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, I'd consider a lighter weight jump frame but would really want vertical dropouts to easily run gears.
Cheers

Re:

Azonic ds1, disc mounts but horizontal dropouts. Cheap
Different azonic ds1, no disc mounts but normal vertical dropouts. Less cheap
Both c14" frames, 1+1/8th steerer, 26" wheel etc.
GT zaskar 14.5", not cheap
Shout if interested I can send some piccies

Hi Rick,

The Azonics don't sound to quite have the right combination of dropouts and disc brakes. The GT is exciting but if it's upwards of around £80, which I expect it probably is, then it's out of my league.

Re:

Adding a rear disc mount using an adapter isn't tricky or expensive, but is a compromise some will not make. So if that's a route you would consider then you will have more options. Dropouts I guess you have to stick with!

Re:

Hi I have 2 or maybe 3 14" frames, 1 Know Roast, 1 Kona Stuff another frame not sure what make. Do you just want the frame or other bits as well. If your interested I could take some photos and mail them to you.

Mark.
