Externally routed dropper posts

Looking for suggestions on budget externally routed 30.9 dropper posts, on an old Marin hardtail.
Cheapest seems to be be RSP at go outdoors without taking a punt on something on eBay, at 99.99 with a 125mm drop, anybody had any experience with these?
Anybody have anything suitable for sale?

I've got a couple of crank bros kronologue posts. Would need to check the size but are decent cable actuated droppers imho.

I can highly recommend the Brandx Ascend 2 on CRC.

They are on sale occasionally at £99 and mine has been faultless over a couple of years. They have just released an updated model too which should be better.

Here are some pics. 1 is 40.9 the other 31.8. Some new parts as well. Mix and match the colours you want to get either gold clamp and lever, or black.

The thing I like about these is they are cable actuated so no hydraulic hose/bleeding needed.

I've got an X fusion hi lo that fits the bill. After three years it's developed a little play and the oil needs topping up a smidge, but it's performed very well throughout. Going to give it some TLC soon. Was about £80 IIRC.
