Made in Japan by Toyo, but I don't think that necessarily needs to be a deal breaker against posting on this thread - still Specialized's top of the line steel frame at the time, and fairly exotic enough with it's brazed stays. Not too different from a Ritchey really I guess...
1993 Specialized S-Works Steel. Really nice riding bike - my 'go-to' if I were to have such a thing.
i sold it on ebay ages ago and kick myself over it.
a friend painted it and i had those gold vinyl decals made by a girl i knew.
that frame was raced in norba and state races. to many wins.
was originally bought in 94' as a team edition in red with xtr 910 on it with a mag 21 sl ti. everything sold seperately at that time. i did have it repainted in orange at one point. was done in xtr with a sid while orange.
had it done in the chrome illusions color after the brake cable stop was replaced and the seat collar insert was done. all by kestrel.
i sold it to someone in the uk but don't remember his name.
when i had it redone in the current color i had the dropouts and seat collar cleaned off and scotch brited so there was no paint. did you paint them? they look black.
sorry to ask. just crazy to find it again after almost 10 years
