I guess though, for some, exotic is relative to access and depth of pocket and to a degree understanding and knowledge.

Someone said they wanted to see a Boulder.
Not claiming it's a good aesthetic build, but it is very red. More importantly, it's the "LT" version of the starship- a pretty rare bird.
Plus a more "production" Defiant. Not necessarily period correct, but it's a rider for my wife.
