EWR Eastern Woods Research frame with BIN medium

Looks more like a Small to me, not a Bill Grove frame so maybe a very early 'Jay DeJesus, Jason McLean, Kenn Rymdeko Phoenixville' frame...some odd braze-ons too :?

$700 is also high

That's what I was thinking...without all the details; thanks :)

I know they don't have a top tube but the ETT for these is as follows:

Small (16") ETT = 21.5"
Medium (17.5") ETT = 22 3/8"
Large (19") ETT = 23.25"

It'll fit my wife, so BACK OFF!

I think it's a later Bilenky built frame...1996-1997 or so. Here it is, built. Also, here's a pic of a small 97 frame, with the Breeze dropouts. They are the same frame size, so the auction bike is a small, I think.

That rear triangle looks almost identical to the one on my 96 Grove Aermet (but w/o the pinched part at the middle of the chain stay). Probably the same tubing and dropouts.

Only the main tubes on the Aermet were made of Aermet?

Correct. According to what I've read, it was really hard to work with (bend, cut etc) and it didn't come in a lot of different sizes, so they only used it for the seat, top, and down tubes. I think it was kind of pricey, too.

Hey guys,

That's a Grove built small frame, identifiable by the seat binder, single mitered down tube, and rear chainstay dimpling.

Bilenky did not start building for Ken and Jay until 2008, where they had a proto at the Portland NAHBS show.

Considering we only charged Jay 360 bucks for a frame, the seller is a bit optimistic.

The Jen Greene headbadge is nice, though.

cheers,

rody
