Spear of Destiny - One Eyed Jacks
new Model Army - Vengeance
A good LP, & still on my shelves, alongside ''Grapes Of Wrath' & 'World Service'
I personally prefer both of these to 'One Eyed Jacks', & might just swing towards 'G o W' as a first choice.

I think there's also some 'Theatre of Hate' nestling next to them? (possibly 'WestWorld' for one)

As for 'NMA', I've got some of Ed Alleyne Johnsons solo stuff - it's simply wonderful

Bowie - Ziggy Stardust (Hunky Dory could have been in here too)
'Ditto', but sadly not an original 1972 copy
It must be one of the few LPs that actually tells a story with each track, barring the obvious ones like 'War Of The Worlds'
(I think you could say the same about 'Diamond Dogs'?)

but if you ask me again tomorrow it might be different,
Yes, same here, & I presume many people too?

Saw S.O.D. on the World Service tour in 1985 - Manchester Apollo. They played virtually the whole of Grapes of Wrath, One Eyed Jacks and World Service, and finished with some Theatre of Hate as an encore, The sax playing was out of this world. Still the only gig to come anywhere near The Clash!!

The same with me, I have very wide ranging tastes in music, but some notable albums that I can remember get played a lot without going stale;

My Dying Bride - The Angel and the Dark River
Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses
Skyclad - Prince of the Poverty Line
Muse - Absolution
Opeth - Blackwater Park
The Pixies - Doolittle

The rest are compilations of singular tracks I like arranged into play lists to suit the purpose and mood, but my collection contains a lot of Lebanese, Turkish and North African music particularly Algerian Rai.

I am not a lyric person, it is musical arrangement and harmonic sound that fires my interest.

James - Laid
Dusty Springfield - Dusty In Memphis
Amy Winehouse - Back To Black
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
The Black Crowes - The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion
Crowded House - Woodface
Frank Turner - Love, Ire And Song
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions

nirvana - nevermind
foo fighters - foo fighters
foo fighters - colour and the shape
greenday - dookie
metallica - black album
audioslave - audioslave
offspring - smash
the seahorses - do it yourself
the verse - urban hyms
korn - korn

these were the most influential albums to me.

I can see quite a few albums I recognise. I am surprised there isn't any Janes addiction or NIN in there..

Mine would probably be.

Electric Ladyland, Hendrix
Court of the Crimson King, King Crimson
Paranoid, black sabbath
Stormcock, roy harper
In search of Space, hawkwind
What a bunch Of Sweeties, pink faries
Yeti, Amon Duul
Camembert Electrique, Gong
Disraeli Gears, Cream
Meddle, Pink Floyd

listening to Wired by jeff beck at the moment, it should probably be on the list? Electric Ladyland will always come top on a list I make, and court of will always be with it. floyd albume will vary between saucerfull and dark side and you might even find goats head soup or sticky fingers in the list sometimes.

Hmmmm. These are the ones I would pick tonight but could be totally different tomorrow barring maybe four that would always be there.

Pop Will Eat Itself - Box Frenzy
Portishead - Dummy
Prince - Controversy
Magazine - Real Life
Way Out West - Intensify
NWA - Straight Outta Compton
The Prodigy - Music for the Jilted Generation
The Bad Plus - Give, for Dirty Blonde alone
Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
Massive Attack - Mezzanine

Prodigy- Experience
Prodigy - Music for the jilted generation
Cypress Hill- Black Sunday
Public enemy - It takes a nation of millions

Can't think of any more. I don't buy or listen to albums. Ask me for 10 record labels and I'd list hundreds.
