Hello People

I'm new here and have just acquired a Cannondale SE 1000 in need of some love. I'm not really new to bike restoration but this is the first time I've done a mountain bike.

I'm looking forward to hopefully getting some advice about restoration.

I've restored a number of skinny wheeled bikes over the years at one point i had 17 in my shed they've all gone now and I only have a kinesis decade now.

Welcome mate :D Lots of help at hand on here and generally speaking there is no such thing as a stupid question ;)

Get some pics up in the readers bike section and tell us your plans

What he said. We're good at giving stupid answers though. ;)

Oh - and if you're around for a bit prepare for an empty bank balance... Retrobikers are a bit like VW camper owners (if you're like me anyway because I'm both) - always destitute but happy with it :)

Hey, thanks guys. I'm used to having no money I was a Ford Capri owner for years, been married for 25 and had three kids through Uni.

I'll be posting pics and a build thread probably starting in the next couple of days.
