Re:

Bargain! Weren't these bilaminate? Frameset looks like it's in fantastic condition, could easily be worth the asking price on its own.

I'm really interested, gonna have to have a wee think though. Does it have mudguard eyes? Any dings or dents? No chance of higher res pictures taken from the driveside?

Re: The Empty Dad's Garage Thread. CB Avant Courer 1965

Pretty sure there's no dents, there may be some chips in the paint but nothing major. I wouldn't sell it if it was in a poor state, but it is 50 years old.

Mudguard eyelets on the front and rear.

I'm in Denmark at the mo, so I can't take any more photos, if you're local it might be worth taking a look at it in the flesh.

Sorry to be so vague.

Re: The Empty Dad's Garage Thread. CB Avant Courer 1965

No worries at all and thanks for the quick response!

And are you sure it's c.1965? Or that it's an Avant Coureur? A quick bit or research seems to suggest that Avant Coureur models stopped being produced in the late 1950s (at around the same time that Claude Butler was sold to Holdsworth).

So this is either a pre-1960 bilaminate Avant Coureur, or its a c.1965 re-badged Holdsworthy. Either way it's absolutely lovely and would make for a fantastic restoration project - although I think I'd only be interested if it was the former :)

I believe it's one of these Super Coureur Mk2

Re:

New photos added, now I've had a chance to visit.

It doesn't look like it's been ridden much, but it's missing the brake cable stirrups.

Transfers and badges are good, all original.

Le Tour hubs and Dunlop steel rims, rear wheel needs a true.

No tyre kickers, lowball offers or time wasters please.
