Emperor Sport 1979 Road/TT

Hi All,

Not long found this forum/site

Here is my Emperor Sport road/TT bike that I built back in 1979 (well they made the frame I put it all together )
frame is Reynolds 531db lugged with Campag ends and headset, fully chrome forks and 3/4 chrome rear stays

Used extensively throughout 79,80,81,82 for TT's Road Racing Club Runs etc etc

Every year I think I'm going to put it back to "original" spec and this year I have at least got it out the garage so it's a good start...

Should be done over the next month or so

70's is my era so looking forward to how it all goes

First thing to change has to be the bar tape LOL

totally agree Shaun ..changing the bar tape and lever hoods , the saddle, put the original omega pedals and toe clips back on..get rid of the computer and put the stopwatch back

oh and some new tubs..and a lot of autosol

Ah yes well I did compete alongside Sean on many occasions in the EGCC Evening 10 mile TT..when I say alongside I mean about 4 or 5 mins behind

So I got the autosol out, got hold of some new tubs, bar tape, lever hoods and it's cleaning up well.

Not finished as yet, I still need to find the original Ofmega pedals and saddle which are around somewhere, but I did find the original brake blocks and stopwatch with the Terry's clip

Lovely bike and always so nice to hear of people keeping hold of their bikes for years. That stopwatch is great!
