Elswick Hopper 'Tour Anglais' for restoration

Here's a lovely 1959/1960 Elswick Hopper 'Tour Anglais' for sale.

Details:

Top tube (c-c): 22.5"
Seat tube (c-c): 22.5"
Stem: 90mm
Bars (c-c): 36mm
5 speed Huret rear derailleur with Benelux downtube shifter. It's 5 speed so there is only 1.
Brake levers are GB Arret and calipers are GB Sport Mk3

The rear wheel will need to be replaced as it's rather knackered. The front wheel doesn't come with the bike, it's just there to keep the forks off the ground.

The frame is in good condition without any major damage or rust. There are a couple of marks as it's entirely original and hasn't been messed about with. While I'd love to do it up and ride it, I know I already have too many bikes to ever get out on it, and I really need the garage space.

Pics (click on the small one to biggify them):

Price: How does £70 sound. Collection (and inspection) preferred at SP4 6BH, but I can post with your courier of choice. Sheldon Brown had one as his first proper bike!

Ant more questions, please ask. I'm sure I missed something.

Forgot to say....

27" wheels. The rear hub is OK, but the rim will need to be replaced.
The front wheel on the bike is not included. The old front wheel (separate photo) is well past it's best but would just add to the cost of postage and should really be in a skip.

Frame is steel. No decals so I'm assuming it's not 531 or anything exotic.

sounds like a good price to me ...no rust . the head tube badge is really good ! [i dont get why they put such narrow bars on some of these old bikes ?its not a small frame]
