Eddy Merckx - 7-Eleven

I just picked up an Eddy Merckx 7-Eleven frame built from Columbus SLX in a size 54cm. According to the code stamped on the bottom bracket it dates from 1988/89, Corsa Extra model. Paint is original but looking to restore with fresh chrome and paint and new 7-Eleven decals. I did have an Eddy Merckx Motorola TSX ex team bike which I regrettably sold a few years ago now. I promised myself another Corsa Extra but in the iconic 7-Eleven colours!

Thanks, They are superb handling bikes.

I plan on using Shimano DA 7400, I have a full groupset in almost NOS condition.

What about trying these smart repairers for cars ?
I've just used one ( first time ever ! ) and am very impressed. An excellent job on a dark pearl blue car.
It does need to be somebody who can scan the colour and then get a perfect match made up ( mine just used the manufacturer's paint code - easy ! )
