Zooming in on the pic, both rear dropouts look like bolt-on red-anodised ones so I've no idea what that could be. I only ever had Alpinestars E-stays and it doesn't seem to be an Al-Mega of the pre-Easton that I had 3 of (warranty city).
Stem COULD be Answer A-Tac, bar ends look like Onza clamps and it seems to have grip-shift too. Could be a great find but the front tyre, seat, cranks and pedals look bargain basement so who knows?
Also, only 3 transactions and 80% positive feedback :?
Think you are all right so far on the parts, I am bidding at the moment, was going to be my cheap next project having just finished my Muddy Fox. I am in Bristol so close as well.
Fingers crossed will be too much risk for you lot lol!
I am fairly certain on my frame ID and will tell you if I win (and if I am right!) haha.
I think the frame is a '93 Alpinestars Al Mega.... the last year of the beasts!! It also has the straight seat tube... this was adopted in the final throws of the brand..... What a shame!.... What the hell has the owner been doing to it!??
