I have not seen one of these for sale in a long time how much would it be expected to fetch?

This looks exactly the same as my frame - looks like it still has the shims stepping the head tube down to inch.

Here's my 1994 orange vitamin t
- I bought this off the original owner in Jan 95.
This photo predates digital, and almost the term "bikepacking". Taken somewhere in the middle of the Scottish Highlands may '95.

The original build spec, from Dave Baters Downend, Bristol (rip):

Stronglight 1" threaded taper roller bearing headset.
Control tech inch quill stem
Pace RC35 Forks, rear mounted brake bosses.
diacompe 987 cantis with a rocker on the fork brace
Pace bars, x-lite bar ends
Ritchey foam grips.

Ringle front hub,
white industries rear hub,
hope ti-dye spokes
mavic 230...

Quite a few have broken by now, although this looks little used.

The frameset was £1200 new iirc, a lot of money in 93/94.

Good luck VCRcycles with the £1200, but if someone wants that size/model enough, then it might happen. At least they are a business and not pretending they aren't.

I'd price it at 850 and see what happens,
But I wouldn't sell mine at that price

I think it's safe with you.
The only thing making good money atm seems to be the trinkety stuff

Who knows if 26" pre- disc mtbs will come back in?

The next wave of collectors might only be interested in carbon Road bikes from early in the 3rd millennium,
or 29ers from 2002

Lots of stuff is selling for good money still.

This is overpriced slightly but not by much. It’ll sell I’m sure. £800-900 area.

People who spend big amounts of retro tat aren’t down to their last fiver come pay day.

The difference is now that the lower earners have had their “play money” squeezed by the cost of living so all the middle ground stuff is cheap.

Watch the couple pre discussed tyre auctions this week if you doubt me.
