That was a stonking ride! No rain and relatively sheltered from the wind was a blessing when compared to previous rides with Mark. It was good to get Jason around in one piece who, it has to be said, kept up easily and only struggled at the end due to a lack of recent riding.
De-caff tea, Wagon wheels, chilli, jet fighters and bonhomie. What else can top that? Maybe a brief resume of the life of Charles II and his famous tree hiding escapade, plus a critique of English Heritage in a broad Black Country accent from a passing cyclist. Excellent stuff.
