Rock Shox SID Team forks from about 2003, I think. 187mm 1 1/8" steerer, axle to crown 435-440mm. Travel, no idea, but just over 4" of stantion showing. Lock out lever but it's not fitted. Easton lowers with some decals removed one side, but the lowers are really good....
....They do have problems though...hold air fine, but it's almost impossible to get them moving easily without really leaning on them, as the initial stiction is so bad. Quite plush after that...! Probably need a service...unless it's the 'lock out' feature somehow stuck on...? Seals look OK but there is discolouration to the stantions and some pitting and chipping just starting to appear. Cable rub either side of crown. Due to issues, looking for £65 posted Now £55 posted NOW £45 POSTED!!!! SOLD!!!

Easton Monkey Lite XC carbon risers, cut down to just under 600mm. Practically weightless. Some marks from fitting of controls. Too narrow for me....£20 with above otherwise £30 posted due to postage costs Now £25 posted

Re:

Edited first post to reflect the fact the forks DO WORK just not as well as I feel they should. Also looking for swaps against modern 120mm forks....

Re:

Bump for reduced prices, need these gone. Would swap for a 14" centre to centre modern disc frame of some sort.

Re: Rock Shox SID Team - Easton carbon riser bars - REDUCED £

interested in the forks, if you are willing to send to Austria. :)

After how much travel the forks are easier to compress ? Some close ups of the pitting and chipping would be appriciated.

thank you.

Re:

I would need to check costs, but yes happy to post to Austria if not excessive :D

Difficult to say how much compression, off the bike I find it difficult to get them moving at all, I honestly think the lock out is stuck on! Once you can get them to move it seems after the first inch or so of travel...?

The pitting is minor at the moment and shows best in picture 3 on the first post....sort of like speckles!

Re: Rock Shox SID Team - Easton carbon riser bars - REDUCED £

thanks for your repley.

Asked about the compression behavior, cause it was common on that type of forks to let water drip in between bushing and stanchion via the seals, caused corrosion there which can end into a sticky feeling at some point of the travel. Lock out is either on or off. F.e. when the chamber for the lock off is lacking oil, the fork would move at the beginning ot the travel, but travel is reduced.

Anyway, I'm still interested in the fork.

Re:

Hmmm, interesting, thanks for the information! :) I am tempted to keep them and get them serviced properly now....

Unfortunately, the postage will probably be near GB£40 on these as they just creep over the weight limit for ordinary Airmail if I package them correctly  :(

Re: Rock Shox SID Team - Easton carbon riser bars - REDUCED £

fork still available?
If so any idea of the weight of them?
Looking for a light fork for the eldest's bike.
