East Midlands Area chat and rides thread

what groupsets? I've got loads of stuff.

sorry about the date - it was a randomly but poorly chosen

Do you remember, we chatted about this on the Macc ride, although I might have imagined it due to altitude sickness!

If there is stuff you can sell me to get me going that would be great.

I need:

Rear mech...deore xt dx etc
Front mech - not sure of tube diameter though and no vernier gauge
Shifters - indexed thumbies or poss gripshift

I'll but a new rear cassette and chain and I have fairly new chainrings.

Get rumaging everyone ;)

If Ed doesn't have one I will do when I've bought all these parts. ;)

Now chaps check out his link:

Not only does it confirm Rob as the ultimate Ticknall routemaster (been there, seen it, done it backwards) but also opens up an interesting spring/summer ride round Gotham which is pretty good for all of us I think re work etc.

What do you think?

well this was what originally got me onto Ticknall - this article :D

Apparently the Gotham one is very muddy according to Rob - but then, not stopped us yet ;)

Not this Rob. I don't know this route at all.

Funny how you get posessive about an area. Ticknall's MINE.
Another puncture today  but the new gear cables are working wonderfully. :D

You own Ticknall, I own the Pines. We are just very generous ;)

I might scope out the East Leake ride come the spring for a group ride.

You are very motivated Rob, I just couldn't face a muddy ride on my own today although my garage has never looked better ;)
