Arent most top end (or probably mid range in 2011) bikes now integrated headsets?

 I hope not

The chaps at Chris King explain the crapness best:

Great article cheers for the link. Sort of agrees with what I was thinking although I am no expert on these things. Not sure it needed changing from cups to be honest like they say.

I've just rescued (and subsequently fallen for) this little cracker..

More pics in my sig.

Really lovely bike for it's age.

I've rescued a Tufftrax like that but in worse condition, it's going to be my next project, currently amassing parts before the project begins!

That Tuftrax looks great and very unusual in a small size from 89.

There has been a little run of 89's popping up latley which is great

That long seat tube might come in handy then... I'm surprised it wasn't stuck out of the bottom when I picked it up. There was about a inch showing at the top.

i just found an old photo of my '91 traverse hydrotech parked up with my friends limited edition
that was a great bike

Shameless double post having already shown this picture in the welcome thread:

'94 Eiger, owned by me from new, almost ruined by my dad whilst I was at uni, and now used everyday as a single speed commuter. I'm considering return it to its fromer 21spd glory. Minus that terrible heavyweight lump of a chainset low-end saracens had of course!
