...and had rad paint designs!Main thing is that it was when they were still good
I followed the brand untill 1994 (year my brother changed teams and switched to Dean bikes) and in 1994 their top of the line Monarch Ultra was still a fantastic bike: Tange Ultimate tubing, 8 speed Deore XT groupset,... There's a nice example of an 1994 Monarch Ultra around here BTW.I'm not too familiar with the history of muddy fox. So, it seems that quality of their bikes went sideways around the mid-90s.
I own a courier comp that comes up in the 92/93 catalogue, and as it was offered with an Altus A10 I believe this was already the beginning of the end?
How about the frames, was there also a difference in build quality?

I’ve definitely got a couple of variations of the original Muddy Fox bars, think there may be a stem in there as well. Will have a look at home tomorrow.Long time since I posted here but I am just about to embark on the restoration of my 1987(?) owned from new Courier. Some year ago, the handlebars failed (just slowly snapped on one side) and I had to replace it with whatever I could lay my hands on. As a result, I'm on the lookout for an original handlebar set and stem if anyone has any spares they might be willing to part with.
Here's the bike...

and a photo of the sorts of bars and stem I seek - though these are from a slightly later bike an are 'straighter' but I would be happy with these if they were offered..
mnay thanks in advance...
