Well after finding my old abandoned project in my parents garage, i decided to take the plunge and do a full restoration/dream spec turn of millennium build.
The frame it self is in fair shape, but got moth balled for 20+ years with just a coat of primer on it, so i took it to my local powder coaters and now it looks like this
As this is essentially me building my dream bike as a teenager decided a set of '01 z1 dropoffs upfront would be ideal
Now the question is how do i finish the build, I have virtually the full M570 ('00 LX) 9 speed groupset, but its the brakes im stuck on, discs are a no due to lack of rear mount, and i was never much of a fan of shimano's v brakes compared to avid's but im also unwilling to spend silly money (like double what they cost back in the day) on a set of arch rivals, so maybe i should go silly and put some maggy hs33's on it instead, any thoughts or suggestions?
